Bonsai

Valuable bonsai can be worth thousands even tens of thousands.  And they are often entered for shows or loaned out where invigilation is not as good as your premises.

There have been occasional bonsai thefts which made bonsai growers and display organisations like Chelsea reassess the risks of external display.

Installing physical security measures is appropriate so also is protection by security systems.

Suitable waterproof sensors and security systems are available which can be mobile and travel with the collection if necessary and will run off a 12v battery and communicate alarms using GSM or pagers.

(above) This bonsai is on display in a greenhouse and is protected with electronic security.

Also useful for sundials, statues, sculptures and other outdoor exhibits (try to fix these down before considering alarms.)
