Touching:

If, following your risk assessment, you think that touching would be particularly harmful to an exhibit (repeated touching of certain valuable objects can damage them. Peoples hands have acid in them which can attack marbles or paint pigments or textiles). Carefully consider the open display of such objects: e.g. make sure they have a sign “Do not touch”, are roped off and possibly protected by “anti-touch” technology.

The Van Gogh drawing opposite is proud of the wall and the gallery used ATS - click here for anti-touch options.
