Touching:
If, following your risk assessment, you think that touching would
be particularly harmful to an exhibit (repeated touching of certain
valuable objects can damage them. Peoples hands have acid in them
which can attack marbles or paint pigments or textiles). Carefully
consider the open display of such objects: e.g. make sure they have a
sign “Do not touch”, are roped off and possibly protected by
“anti-touch” technology.
