Tamper Evident Labels: For wood, paper or similar surfaces

This type of self adhesive label (security seal) enables you to add security to a package at little extra cost. Each label is uniquely numbered. Just peel off the label and stick it over the packaging, crate or case. Tear off the numbered receipt and keep it as you record. When the recipient receives the goods they must check the label for signs of tampering, if the words Void or Open show through the label then one should be suspicious. In addition check that the number on the seal is the same as the receipt kept by the sender.

These seals / labels leave no residue on the object and the adhesive combination is optimised for wood, card, metal and plastics. In addition the print (in the seal) / strength combination reacts to known methods of attack of TE labels like freezer spray, solvents and heat. A clever package of technology all at a reasonable price.

Product Specification

Euronova tamper evident labels are sourced from a high quality manufacturer and have the highest level of security:

The security seal responds to being pulled off or being attacked by freezer spray, solvents or heat.

Other seal features: The seals are made from a combination of polythene polymers, ink layers, cuts and adhesive which makes them very durable but sensitive enough to attempts to peel off. They become permanently marked and cannot be replaced after opening. The plastic distorts or tears during an attempt to open it.

There is a special tear off adhesive receipt (23mm x 10mm) which bears the same unique security number as the label and enables you to keep a log of which seal went with which package.

Hints and Tips
  • When the museum, client or final recipient opens the container ask them to store the used label for inspection in the event of a claim.
  • Should you make an error in filling the container and need to reopen after using a label, pull off the label and keep it, log this fact in your book and use a new label.
  • Ensure the recipients are trained to spot evidence of tampering, forward them this web page if necessary.
  • If the surface is varnished or lacquered you may need labels with different adhesive or simply rub off the varnish with sandpaper (if permissible).
  • Allow the adhesive 30 minutes to build up its full strength before testing if the label works on a particular surface.
