CrimeAlert^TM Alarm is suitable for fitting to many objects stored in the dry. e.g. motor bikes, ornaments, church effects, windows, sheds etc. It is simple to fit, does not require any additional wiring and is unobtrusive. The alarm detects sudden movements and will alarm immediately if knocked. Switched on and off by a security key , the alarm is battery operated (1 year life) and features a siren capable of producing 107 decibels which is necessary to attract attention. When activated it sounds for 30 seconds, silences and rearms. This meets recent UK/European noise pollution legislation. The mid-range sensitivity is adjustable to make it suitable for different environments.

CrimeAlert™ Alarm MAG: works as above but can be triggered by a magnet as well. Often requested for doors or sheds where the magnet is stuck on the door and the alarm on the frame. Opening the door will set the alarm's "entry beeps" for 15 seconds to enable you to insert the security. If this is not done the alarm will sound for 30 seconds.

User Instructions

Installation: The alarm should be fitted on the object using either the double sided sticky tape (supplied) or using a screw. Do ensure the surface is clean and free from grease.

Arming/disarming: To set the alarm insert the key, wait one beep and take it out. The alarm beeps for 30 seconds. You now have this time to straighten the painting, close the case etc before the alarm is armed.

Sensitivity: The electronics have been set so that a solid knock will set off the alarm. This is to enable normal walking around, cleaning and dusting to be done and also for the object to be moved carefully. Any sudden move, knock as in a tyoical theft attempt will set the alarm off. Keep the key nearby. Sensitivity can be adjusted. This is done by inserting the sensitivity stick into the side slot potentiometer (case top off) and turn anti-clockwise to make less sensitive.

Batteries: One 9volt PP3 is supplied, power saving circuitry means it lasts 2 years. We recommend testing all alarms regularly.

Hints and Tips

Key control and care: Each alarm is supplied with 1 unique key. The keys contains sensitive electronic components and so should not get damp or too hot.

• For UK customers Euronova delivers these alarms already set-up. This is not possible for export. Set up is simple and full instructions are below.
• Occasionally if a key has been subjected to "stress" ,see top item, and is then inserted into the alarm it may corrupt the memory. This means the alarm will still go off but the battery needs to be removed to silence it. You should then press the panic button for 15 seconds to drain any residual memory and then reset up the alarm.
• Set up : For export customers etc. Connect the battery, press the panic button to hear a beep. Release. Insert the key, wait 1 beep wait for a longer beep. Remove the key. The alarm is now ready for use.
• Panic button. Apart from use in set up, the panic button has been added at customer request as an extra safety feature in a room. If the panic button is pressed firmly (1 sec) the alarm will sound continuously and not shut off until the key is inserted.
